Where Does Your Water Come From?

Join LAWPC with the Auburn Public Library to learn about where Lewiston and Auburn’s tap water comes from. This presentation will follow a drop of water through the Lake Auburn Watershed, and into the community. This all age event will cover the different pollutants a drop of water might find, different environments it might cross, and the treatment process so the water becomes safe to drink.
This program will be presented as part of Auburn Public Library’s Adult Summer Reading Program, “Oceans of Possibilities” wherein adults will spend time exploring Maine’s waterways. Although an adult program, children ages 8 and up are welcome to attend with an adult. If time permits, there may be a small, hands-on activity which is geared toward children.
